It is disheartening to see some PR persons use this type of spam emails and call it PR pitches. This is one big reason why PR profession is never taken seriously. One bad apple and it only needs one bad apple when it's on Tech Crunch web site. Bad day for PR profession.

I am always a fan of mobile communication and access my email, facebook and Twitter via my iPhone a lot. I think it will be the next information "wave" but, according to this study, it sounds like it might take a while still, 12 years to be exact. My prediction is it would not take that long.
As we are starting the new school year, this article provides useful insights from students' perspective. I am especially glad to see they recognized the importance of web 2.0 and how it's changed PR practice.

The Nielsen Company announced some of the findings of an in-depth study, "Kids on the Go: Mobile Usage by U.S. Teens and Tweens," on the mobile media and cross media behavior of U.S. "tweens" (ages 8-12), finding that 5% of tweens access the Internet over their phone each month.
While 41% of tween mobile Internet users say they do so while commuting or traveling (to school, for example), mobile content such as the Internet is also a social medium for this audience. 26% of tween mobile Internet users say they access the web while at a friend's house and 17% say they do so at social events.

Southern California fires really forced people to depend on social media like Twitter. Kudos to KPBS that has been twittering away by seconds.
